THE NEIGHBORHOOD STORY
Streeterville occupies one of Chicago's most extraordinary geographic positions — the narrow peninsula of landfill east of Michigan Avenue, bounded by Lake Michigan to the north and east, with the Navy Pier experience complex immediately adjacent. The neighborhood contains Mies van der Rohe's 860-880 Lake Shore Drive Apartments — the buildings that defined modern residential tower design worldwide. Today, Streeterville is home to Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and a residential community of professionals, physicians, and executives.
